Who we are

Sharply is operated by Sharply Intelligence (ABN 67 456 073 358). In this policy, "Sharply", "we", "us" and "our" refer to this entity. Our contact email is hello@sharply.au.

This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use sharply.au or subscribe to our service.

We also collect information automatically:

  • Page views and usage data via Plausible Analytics. Privacy-friendly, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking
  • A session cookie used for A/B testing (which version of the site you see). This cookie contains no personal information and expires after 30 days.

The contacts in your briefs

Each brief includes a named business contact. These are business professionals identified through publicly available information and professional databases. They are not your personal data. They are business contacts acting in their professional capacity.

Contacts in your briefs are sourced in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We do not include private individuals. We only include business contacts in a professional context.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days before deleting it, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

Brief delivery history is retained for 12 months to support the duplicate-detection system, ensuring you do not receive the same contact twice.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sharply.au. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

We use one cookie: a session cookie that determines which version of the site you see (A/B testing). This cookie does not contain personal information and expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
